This checklist has been prepared as a tool to assist with the development of neighbourhoods that support physical activity and healthy eating. The greater number of checklist items provided within the area influenced by a project, the more likely there will be healthy outcomes. The best outcomes will come from government agencies, land developers, health, social workers and the community working collaboratively, as each stakeholder group has an important role to play in the delivery of healthy communities.
The checklist items should be considered to fulfil the objective listed under each of the Healthy Active Ageing domains.
